Amazon has already mastered the art of selling groceries and other essential goods online. The company took its steps in fashion game this year, and it’s paying off. But the question here is why do shoppers in the US buy clothing online? And how do they browse and purchase clothing online?
- 52.1% of shoppers in the US claimed that they purchased clothing from Amazon in the last 6 months, and 46.7% did so from a retailers’ website.
- 42.5% claimed that they occasionally purchase clothing online, while only 14% regularly do so.
- 30.8% have purchase apparel on Amazon because of Amazon’s fast and free shipping, while 24.7% have done so because of Amazon’s low prices.
- 71% said they prefer to shop for clothing on their PC/Laptops, while only 18.1% prefer to use their mobile phone.
