Among the Top 5 Social Networks Used for News in 2017, Facebook Is the King | Reuters Institute

On a scale measuring the best 5 social media platforms used for news in 2017, Facebook – as usual – ranks the top with a rate of 47%, followed by YouTube (22%), Twitter (10%), and then Instagram with only 6%.

On the other hand, there are 23% of respondents reported that they use messaging apps for news weekly. WhatsApp tops these apps with a rate of 15%, followed by Facebook Messenger with only 8%.
