In 2017, holiday shopping season estimates with more than $1 trillion and more than one-quarter of annual US retail sales. It’s important to mention that, online shopping is winning by outperforming in-store venues thanks to the ease of searching for products/services, the high quality/trusted and the variety of products/styles available in retail stores.
In terms of the devices used during the shopping process, 83% of US consumers surveyed said they use desktops/laptops for holiday shopping. Three-quarters of them use these devices to browse online and make purchases.
Checking/comparing prices, reading product reviews and tracking order status are also some of the most activities that US consumers plan to do via desktops/laptops with rates of 68%, 62% and 61 respectively.
