44.1% of Back-to-College Shoppers Prefer Online Stores, 2017 | NRF

Back-to-college shoppers planned to shop at online stores mostly (44.1%), followed by discount stores (40%), department stores (38.5%), college bookstore (33.6%), office supply store (29.1%) and clothing stores (26.2%).

Besides that, the shopping plan includes drug store (13.4%) home furnishings (11.7%), resale shops (9.1%) and catalog (8.7%) but with fewer ratios.

Compared with the school shoppers plan, department stores came at the top of their plan with 57.1% of the shoppers’ preference.
