84% of Parents in US Won’t Shop Online For B2S Without Free Shipping, 2016 | NRF

Back-to-school (B2S) online shopping reached $27.3 billion in the US in 2016 season. The vast majority of B2S online shoppers parents (84%) confirmed that free shipping is their condition for online purchase.

Online B2S shoppers plan to make over a third (34%) of their purchases online and they plan to purchase from an average of 3 websites. Supercenter (62%), office supply (35%) and online clothing (18%) are the top sites parents plan to visit.
