UNCTAD B2C E-Commerce Index 2017

The 2017 UNCTAD B2C E‐commerce Index revealed that online shopping in many developing and transition economies represent a small proportion of the population, while in most developed economies more than half of the population are buying online.

This year’s index is explained, with providing a new payment indicator. The index is updated also with the latest available data. The 2017 revised index better predicts online shopping and has some striking changes in rankings due to the incorporates additional economies and methodological changes.
