In the 2015 edition of UNCTAD’s Information Economy Report estimates Electronic commerce, examines opportunities & challenges faced by risk in developing countries that want to engage in electronic commerce (e-commerce) and shows in detail how information and communications technologies can be harnessed to support economic growth & sustainable development.
The share of the Asia and Oceania region in global B2C e-commerce is expected to rush from 28 to 37 % between 2013 & 2018, and in the Middle East & Africa is to increase a bit from 2.2 to 2.5 %.
Electronic commerce continues to grow both in geographic and volume reach and is increasingly featured in the international development agenda.
