Recently, Instagram has become the best social media platform for brand advocacy, while the social media platform TikTok, despite the (positive and negative) hype, is some way behind still.
According to the apps and social media usage insights in 2020, Instagram is increasing its share of users across all countries and is now the second most used social media in Sweden.
TikTok is used by more than 10% of the online population – and mainly among the younger generation.
It is reported that more than half of the top 10 most important apps are owned by Facebook and Google. The crucial apps are Facebook, and WhatsApp and they are names as the most important apps in all countries except Sweden.
Moreover, Instagram is among people’s most essential apps. Distinctly amongst the younger generation, where it is estimated one of the two most important apps across all countries.
