Job Responsibilities:

• Improve new features and functionality in Java for the existing as well as new products and services.
• Examine new technology and create prototypes where required.
• Promote a robust and well-documented code that adheres to the team’s coding practices and standards.
• Adhere to TDD and agile practices and proactively communicate progress and/or issues.
• Cooperate with the core team in UK and teams based in the Stockholm and Hanoi to deliver global company roadmap objectives.
• Support the existing code base and work on technical debt and support issues.
• Learn Scala on the job and develop skills to support & write new features and functionality in Scala.

Job Requirements:

• Effective working experience in Spring MVC v.3+, Java and Hibernate with hibernate annotations.
• Proficient experience in Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL.
• Expert knowledge of JDK 1.7 or JDK 1.8.
• Deep working knowledge of JUnit, TDD.
• Proven track record in dealing with Maven, GIT, SVN.
• Demonstrated understanding of Linux commands and scripting.
• Solid problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple teams within an agile environment.
