Social Media Specialist

Legal Marketing Association is looking for a Social Media Specialist in Washington, United States. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce content and help enhance and implement the firm’s social media communications strategy for multiple accounts and handles.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news).
  • Operate one-on-one with multiple internal stakeholders/thought leaders to push out content via their social media accounts and handles.
  • Design and maintain a social media calendar using a SaaS platform such as Hootsuite.
  • Plan campaigns around high impact content and events.
  • Secure consistency of the firm’s message platform and integration into all social media platforms and handles.
  • Create and implement a social media strategy to align with business goals.
  • Monitor social media channels, campaigns and analytics. Conduct competitor analysis.
  • Set specific objectives and report on Return on Investment.
  • Liaise with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor social engagement.
  • Keep up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
  • Train stakeholders/thought leaders on best practice for social media.
  • Incorporate search engine optimization strategies in content creation for added visibility and awareness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional social media experience planning and managing content in a corporate or agency setting required.
  • Effective writing experience in the marketing communications field required.
  • Proficient experience in AP style writing required.
  • Proven HTML experience required.
  • Team player with strong work and customer-service ethic required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and multiple decision makers required.
  • A high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and quality control required.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines required.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
