Senior Social Media Strategist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop social media campaigns in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Serve with all GTS brands to explore and identify ways to integrate social media into business strategies and marketing campaigns.
  • Work as the advocate of social media integration within the company, influencing overall site and business strategies.
  • Utilize marketing research and development methods to learn and understand emerging trends and technologies and to communicate this knowledge clearly and concisely.
  • Improve and maintain a social media strategy. Coordinate with stakeholders across the company to ensure its effectiveness. Ensure the adoption of relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture, all company brands and products.
  • Own the roadmap/budget for the social media tools used on the company sites.
  • Manage social media tool integration.
  • Lead the development of organization-wide social media management standards, policies and rules of engagement for social media.
  • Determine key performance indicators and implement enterprise-level measurement, analytics, and reporting methods to gauge success.
  • Produce benchmarks and analyze data.
  • Track and monitor the effectiveness of social initiatives (i.e. reach, resonance, influence), and provide reports for directors and executives – with an eye keenly focused on lead generation.
  • Measure results against goals and provide reports to key managers.
  • Oversee and comment on social media trends and applications as well as act as the company spokesperson within the social media industry.
  • Promote and maintain effective social media guidelines, tools and best practices.
  • Monitor competition, market changes and developments. Identify and report on macro-level digital and social media trends to marketing and business leaders.
  • Supervise the social media team and ensure that superior quality of communication and project delivery is provided at all times.
  • Mentor and provide training to communication and management professionals throughout the organization on best practices for creating, managing, monitoring, and developing content for social networks.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of social media management experience.
  • At least 2 years of management experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, makes a quick decision and executes against deadlines.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and working in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Managerial skills, leading direct and indirect teams.
  • Effective experience with Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Percolate, or HubSpot.
  • Expert knowledge of Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, and Salesforce Social Studio.
  • Deep knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices.
  • Proficient experience developing and executing social media strategies, including paid.
  • Proven track record in identifying and creating campaigns for the target audience.
  • Outstanding analytical, time-management, and project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects.
