Job Responsibilities:

• Support and assist developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications according to best practices and SDLC.
• Produce feedback and analysis of software requirements and specifications.
• Consistently build and maintain software programs and applications according to specifications.
• Design and maintain code and scripts across the full stack of software development including UI, business logic and database.
• Aid in the development and maintenance of user manuals and guidelines.
• Control research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
• Suggest, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
• Communicate with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or university degree and/or 5 years equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years software development and troubleshooting experience in the required technologies listed above.
• Deep knowledge of C# and .NET Framework 4.0 or greater.
• Expert knowledge of XML and related technologies such as XSLT, XQuery and XPath.
• Demonstrated understanding of relational databases (preferably SQL Server 2008 R2 or greater).
• Outstanding skills in web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
• Sound skills in source control systems (TFS, Subversion).
• Proficient experience to deal with deployment automation.
• Wide knowledge of software design patterns.
• Familiarity with web services (WCF and REST).
• Proven knowledge (specifically P&C policy and claim).
• Effective experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Enthusiasm to seek out opportunities to learn and the ability to understand new technologies.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Great interpersonal skills.
• Extremely self-motivated and directed.
• Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
• Ability to work with Agile methodologies.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
