Job Responsibilities:

• Design web applications using PHP, PHP Frameworks, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and occasionally other languages.
• Create efficient database schemas for new implementations or contribute to improving existing ones.
• Serve closely with product management, UI/UX managers and VP Tech to define user requirements and translating them into reliable, intuitive features.
• Evangelize code quality through writing well architected, structured code, unit tests, while following best industry practices.
• Support and constantly drive for improved efficiency and code health.
• Execute or customize web interfaces using Javascript, CSS, and HTML.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in full stack developments in a SAAS environment.
• Expert knowledge of dynamic languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby.
• Demonstrated understanding of web technologies such as Javascript, CSS, HTML.
• Sound experience with Laravel and Symfony.
• Wide understanding of Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Service Oriented and Restful architecture as well as all solid principles.
• Outstanding skills in Javascript frameworks such as jQuery, Angular, Bootstrap, Backbone, React.
• Great experience with Configuration Management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible.
• Exceptional understanding of NoSQL databases.
• Effective experience in designing and developing Web and Mobile SAAS platforms.
• Proficient experience with relational databases.
• Deep knowledge of MVC and experience working with frameworks.
• Familiarity with using version control systems: Git, Mercurial, SVN etc.
• Proven track record in dealing with Agile methodologies.
• A self-starter with a great attitude and a passionate work ethic.
• Solid problem-solving skills in sophisticated web and mobile applications as part of a fast-paced team in a World Wide Context.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
• Ability to adapt, estimate workload, solve problems, self-improve and suggest new ways of improvement.
• Ability to traverse logical sequences of either procedural or object-oriented code, abstracted or static – and understand it entirely.
