Job Description

Almeida is recruiting a Director of Marketing and Communications to help deliver an ambitious vision for the organization by leading the marketing, sales and communications of the theatre by maintaining the high profile of the Almeida and driving audience development. The successful candidate should be an excellent communicator, a creative and imaginative strategist.

Summary of conditions of employment

  • Reporting to: Executive Director.
  • Salary: According to experience and skills, set within the overall financial framework of the Almeida.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 10am – 6pm with additional hours if required.
  • Holiday: 20 days per annum.
  • Pension: 3% contribution after six months service.
  • Other Benefits: season ticket loan, theatre tickets, bicycle loan scheme, childcare vouchers, training and development opportunities.
  • Probation: This appointment is subject to a six month probationary period.
  • Location: the Almeida’s administration offices at 108 Upper Street, London, N1 1QN.

It is a leading London theatre company internationally renowned for producing work to increase national reach, international profile, full houses and breadth of audiences. The company produces six productions each year in addition to a developing, supporting events program, individual one-off productions, and has a full program of activities for young people.
