Job Responsibilities:
- Improve and nurture relationships with media and other influencers.
- Pitch client news to financial services and business media.
- Pitch client executives as thought leaders on industry trends.
- Execute creative and effective integrated, content-driven communications programs for multiple clients.
- Draft news releases and social media posts.
- Aid manage client accounts.
- Promote new business activity.
- Actively oversee print and online news, blogs and social media to identify trends and client opportunities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 3 years of PR agency experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Sound project management skills with the ability to juggle competing assignments, meet deadlines, be proactive, own initiatives and be successful.
- Effective new business experience.
- Outstanding writing skills.
- Proven client management expertise.
- Demonstarted understanding of traditional and digital media.
- Proven success and record in a media-facing role.
- Solid business and financial media contacts.
- Solid writing, editing/proofreading and verbal/presentation skills.
- Well organized, motivated, focused and results-orientated.
- Proactive, smart, professional, knowledgeable about business and economic news.
- Strategic thinker with the initiative to make things happen.
- Great ability to manage effective media relations and social media programmes.
- Ability to work independently and with a small team.
