Almost all of the Indian smartphone users surveyed use instant messaging on a daily basis.
- WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger top the messaging apps used in India with rates of 93% & 83% respectively.
- 74% of the respondents said they use Facebook Messenger for instant messaging or chat each week, while 69% use WhatsApp.
- In terms of creating groups, WhatsApp holds the highest rate of usage (73%).
- On the other hands, Skype leads other apps in making video calls.
