The European population totaled 839 million during January 2017, 637 million of them are using the internet with a penetration rate 76% and an increase of 21 million and a rate of 3% year-over-year.

Active social media users increased also with a rate of 5% year-over-year achieving a total of 412 million users, while the active mobile social users increased by a rate of 11% make the number jumped to 340 million during the same period.
