A survey conducted by Ascend2 on 273 marketing influencers showed that improving email engagement (55%), increasing sales revenue (48%) and improving quality of leads (45%) were their top priorities for an email marketing strategy.
But although improving quality of leads came at the third level of priorities, it ranked the top in terms of the most challenging barriers to email marketing success with a rate of 45%. This was followed by improving email engagement (43%) and increasing conversion rates (43%).
