So, CPC Strategy conducted a research to discover how US shoppers will buy products in Q4 2017.
72.1% of shoppers planned to look for gifts online especially on the Amazon.com. However, there were also 60.4% of shoppers plan to shop in-store discount retailers such as Walmart, Target, or other big-box retailers, and again 38.6% of shoppers plan to shop at those same stores online. In general, online search sources have the largest share of gift searches among US shoppers.
Moreover, women were more likely to shop at big-box retailers such as Walmart and Target with a rate of 67%, while men were far more likely to shop for gifts on Amazon.com with a rate of 76%.
