Only 4% of Internet Users in Egypt Paid to Access Online Content, 2016 | Northwestern University

The majority of internet users in the MENA region don’t tend to pay for online content. In 2016, 43% of Emirati internet users said they paid to access online content, and this is the highest proportion, followed by KSA with a rate of 19%.
On the other hand, Egypt showed the lowest rate of users who paid for accessing online content with only a rate of 4%.
