Established in 2002, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) is a Bahrain governmental institution of the Kingdom of Bahrain was established by Legislative Decree No. 48 of 2002 promulgating the Telecommunications Law.
Since founding, TRA has focused on liberalizing and developing the telecoms sector by promoting an effective and fair competition between established operators and new entrants while protecting the interest of consumers. TRA main goal is to develop a roadmap of measures to promote Bahrain as a regional business and ICT hub, under the NTP4 umbrella.
