Twitter’s Testing Bringing Bookmarks to Its Web Version

Twitter took a great move in accessing bookmarks through its platform anytime, anywhere, and within any device.

Now, Twitter users will be able to save tweets they want to check out later and view their saved tweets across devices after The Twitter company announced in a tweet on its official Twitter account that they are working on a small test of their Bookmarks feature on the Twitter web version, with a plan to launch it more broadly in the coming months.

Twitter Bookmarks on the web

As explained by the Twitter company:

“Love to use Bookmarks and want it on web? Into scrolling through Explore to see what’s happening?
We are testing out a new Twitter for web, which a small number of people will see today. Love it? Missing something? Reply and tell us. Don’t have the new experience? Stay tuned.”

Back on 28 February 2018, Twitter announced on its official blog that they are releasing their new Bookmarks feature to all users around the world, as a desire to provide an easy, quick, and effective way to save Tweets for quick access later. According to this feature, users were able to bookmark a Tweet, share via Direct Message, or share off of Twitter any number of ways, as the Twitter team combines all sharing actions together in one place, in order to make it easier to save and share privately or publicly — at the moment, or later.

But, before adding the Bookmarks feature to the Twitter web version, users were only able to access their Bookmarked tweets in the mobile app only, which was a disappointing option for some cross-platform users, so Twitter is testing to add Bookmarks feature to its web version for a small number of its users only at this time. Hence, the Twitter users now are able to view their saved tweets anytime, Either through the mobile app or through the web version.

To bookmark a tweet in the Twitter app; these are some tips that will help you access the Twitter Bookmarks feature easily:

  1. Tap the share icon under the Tweet.
  2. Then, select “Add Tweet to Bookmarks”.
  3. To find it later, tap “Bookmarks” from your profile icon menu.

It should be pointed out that only You can see what you’ve bookmarked, in addition to removing Tweets from your Bookmarks at any time.
