LinkedIn introduces “Your Commute”, A New Feature For Job Seekers

As an attempt to provide easily job searching, LinkedIn has introduced and developed a new feature this week on its platform, called “Your Commute”.

“Your Commute” is a tool that helps its users understand their potential commute time of traveling when looking for the next job, whether they’re walking, driving or taking public transportation before they even apply for the role.

LinkedIn in its announcement said that 85% of U.S. professionals say they would take a pay cut for a shorter commute. The new feature fulfills this need by helping the job-seekers commuting time to specific businesses which help them evaluate whether they would want to work there.

In addition to, LinkedIn is now enabling its users to add their commute preferences within their Career Interests dashboard so they can be provided with more relevant job recommendations that fit their lifestyle.
