Social Media Strategist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Improve, implement, and maintain a social strategy that results in social audience growth and measurably impacts a client’s objectives and success KPIs.
  • Examine campaign performance as a function of impact on clients’ businesses.
  • Use social advertising products to manage a client’s advertising budgets; recommend budgets, audience targets and optimizations as needed.
  • Head the creative development and execution of social media experiences for assigned clients.
  • Support client editorial calendars and appropriate deadlines for content creation, social media publishing, review and launch.
  • Cooperate with internal search, media and design teams as they relate to the project.
  • Provide strategies across e-mail, mobile, print and other customer touch points as needed.
  • Serve as the client’s brand reputation manager using social listening tools, and respond as per the client’s approved approach.
  • Cooperate with our performance analysis team to review the results of every campaign and translate into digestible and impactful case studies.
  • Produce performance reports using analytics tools and attend client review meetings regularly.
  • Present the new business proposals that educate the client on the product offering and attend client pitches as needed.
  • Guide strategists and junior strategists on the content and social team.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years in a digital marketing and social strategy role.
  • Sound foundational understanding of online media, including social media, influencer marketing, content platforms and display ads.
  • Effective experience in paid social media, including paid strategy and execution in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest.
  • Proficient experience in leading with tools such as Facebook Power Editor, Google Analytics, WordPress, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Hubspot, and all major social advertising and analytics channels.
  • Great standards of editorial excellence and experience in handling multiple brand voices.
  • Familiarity with all internal and external communication, including publicly shared messages on behalf of the client.
  • Solid understanding of social media measurement, including third-party tools and native platform analytics.
  • Imaginative brainstorm contributions and fresh new ideas that reflect current trends in digital marketing.
  • A desire and interest in mentoring and team members and the ability to work independently and collaborate.
  • Ability to comfortably converse with clients and educate them on the product offering and its benefits to their business goals.
  • The ability to quickly assess a situation and apply appropriate, proactive problem-solving skills.
