Social Media Content Producer

Racing.com is looking for a Social Media Content Producer in Melbourne, Australia. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement content and marketing plans for Racing.com social media channels.
  • Engage, connect and facilitate conversation with consumers on Racing.com social media channels.
  • Aid create content specific to Racing.com social media channels.
  • Utilize broadcast and digital content across Racing.com social media channels.
  • Oversee, review and optimize content activity and responses on Racing.com social media channels.
  • Integrate social media into Racing.com broadcast, both live race day and another programming.
  • Cooperate with other members of the editorial and content team to best leverage content across Racing.com social media channels.
  • Improve and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and affiliate media stakeholders, Racing Clubs, and Principal Racing Authorities.
  • Use social media and other audience acquisition methods, including SEO and SEM, to drive growth in consumers to Racing.com platforms.
  • Produce advice and trends on social media opportunities.
  • Participate in the monitoring and development of the editorial and content strategy.

Job Requirements:

  • Journalism or communications degree and/or relevant postgraduate qualification preferable but not essential.
  • Effective experience in a similar role in a media-based environment.
  • Proficient experience in successfully delivering content across social platforms.
  • Proven track record in driving audience acquisition.
  • Expert knowledge of content creation (Photoshop, Premiere Pro).
  • Deep understanding of HTML, SEO, SEM and social media, including analytics tools.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills which facilitate effective interaction with a broad range of stakeholders, as well as work in cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes.
  • Wide knowledge of Thoroughbred Racing and its key stakeholders.
  • A team focused with sound organizational skills and an ability to effectively manage people and multiple projects/issues in a digital environment.
  • Sound attention to detail and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid writing and editing skills and the ability to edit concisely, to length and strict deadlines.
  • Great ability to quickly assess options and identify and implement creative, innovative and flexible outcomes.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting workloads.
