Senior Digital Marketing Executive

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate alongside the marketing manager, develop, manage and report on the digital marketing strategies for customer acquisition, retention and experience (visitor and client).
  • Design, create and execute activity that engages and captivates target audiences to attract new to business clients and retains, nurtures and grows current clients for the Exhibition (Trade and Consumer), conference, banqueting and meeting sectors, locally, nationally and eventually internationally
  • Lead all digital and email communications for acquisition, retention and customer and visitor experience.
  • Improve and manage the website user journey to ensure visitors easily find the required content to increase user conversion.
  • Serve with internal and external software applications collate and manage timely reports to measure the success of digital campaigns and website developments.
  • Continuously develop and optimize website and social media content to increase dwell time and “stickiness”
  • Manage and deliver the full social content and blog plan.
  • Maintain internal communications ensuring that relevant team members are aware of current and planned marketing communications activity.
  • Head all EventCity digital assets including online booking tools and Wi-Fi log in pages.
  • Audit relevant digital seminars and conferences to ensure we are a leader in digital innovation.

Job Requirements:

  • A degree in marketing or considerable knowledge and experience of marketing in an equivalent hands-on role.
  • Minimum 3 years experience.
  • Effective experience of working within a proactive digital marketing role within the hospitality and/or B2B environment.
  • Proficient experience in managing multiple digital assets and activity including the CRM process.
  • Ideally possessing event industry experience in a marketing role (event management, agency, venue).
  • Expert knowledge and experience of developing a content managed the website and other digital channels including social media.
  • Proven track record in managing a brand and its assets online ensuring they are deployed within the specified guidelines.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of all marketing communications channels above and below-the-line.
  • Strong strategic experience, solutions driven.
  • Sound time and project management skills to work and deliver on simultaneous projects.
  • Solid analytical skills and attention to detail with an ability to analyze and interpret client and campaign data providing insight to aid future decision making and budgeting.
  • Deep understanding of marketing and industry trends.
  • Curious about technology and innovation for marketing and the event industry.
  • Passionate about the science of marketing, not just the art.
  • Analytical in approach with a passion and curiosity for insight.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to communicate and present at senior levels internally and externally.
