Job Responsibilities:
- Proactively explore to understand social media platforms and emerging social trends, particularly industry best practices and how other organizations and companies are harnessing them.
- Liaise with key stakeholders both internally and externally, to effectively convey how social media fits into a larger marketing plan.
- Aid the team’s larger social media efforts by researching and/or testing new ways to deliver on our clients’ business goals.
- Participate in the production of best-in-class reports as well as case studies.
- Share consumer insights through continued interaction within the social space.
- Actively oversee all social sites, to ensure a keen understanding of the digital discussions specific to the brand and the category.
- Determine key social influencers to help drive word-of-mouth for select clients or campaigns.
- Recognize and analyze trends in consumer engagement.
- Improve strategic plans for clients on retainer.
- Support positive and effective client and coworker relationships by fostering clear and open communication.
- Prioritize, multitask and work collaboratively in order to meet deadlines and stay on budget.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, communications or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of social media, digital and/or brand management experience; any experience as a working journalist is a major plus.
- Deep knowledge of publishing and analytics platforms such as Simply Measured, Meltwater, Radian 6, Facebook Insights, Power Editor, Statigram, etc.
- Expert working knowledge of social media analytics and ability to interpret and make solid recommendations to client and internal team.
- Demonstrated understanding and ongoing passion for the social space, including, but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Snapchat, Tumblr, YouTube, Wiki, etc. and additional/new social platforms as they emerge.
- Effective experience in search engine optimization, tagging, and understanding of how chosen words impact natural search traffic and rankings via optimized content.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment.
