Marketing Automation Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

  • Head strategic planning with product, sales and marketing teams to develop a roadmap of demand generation campaigns and new lead acquisition.
  • Improve and manage automation strategies in the areas of inbound lead generation, prospect lifecycle nurturing.
  • Lead documentation of current and new automation processes; work with information system teams to test and implement new functionality to support those processes.
  • Direct the automated workflows within Marketo and Salesforce.com, including digital lead tracking, lead scoring, email blasts, triggered nurture campaigns, sales tasks and notifications, campaign activities, reports and dashboards.
  • Operate closely with marketing communication strategists to curate a library of content marketing tools, including but not limited to: email templates, blog posts, white papers, case studies, videos, infographics and ebooks.
  • Oversee and analyze customer and prospect behavior trends to optimize and improve the quality of demand generation initiatives.
  • Promote the use of CRM (Salesforce.com) and Marketing Automation (Marketo) systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.
  • Present the support to sales and marketing staff as needed and delivering regular training courses.
  • Control and maintain the quality of the campaign and lead data in both Marketo and Salesforce.com.
  • Provide results of campaigns and demand generation initiatives.
  • Manage outside vendor relationships, including annual contract negotiations and renewals.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required – marketing, communications or business.
  • At least 1- year experience in a marketing or sales operations role.
  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM system.
  • Deep knowledge of email marketing and nurture campaigns.
  • Demonstrated understanding of digital marketing and inbound lead generation.
  • Effective experience writing and editing content for email campaigns, sales scripts or other sales support materials.
  • Proficient experience working with cross-functional teams to drive sales results a must.
  • Familiarity with managing relationships and handling contract renewals with outside vendors.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Solid organizational and project management skills.
  • Sound analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable workflows.
