Account Director

Socialfly is looking for an Account Director in New York, United States. If you meet the requirements below, you will be eligible to apply via Digital Marketing Community.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead onboarding of all new accounts.
  • Accountable for profitability for all accounts.
  • Design, develop and defend budget recommendations, work goals, measurements and training requirements necessary to provide both quality and profitable service.
  • Head day-to-day agency team dynamics to ensure smooth collaboration and effective idea generation.
  • Drive a portfolio of brands within a larger conglomerate or business group, gain an understanding of their unique company architectures, to build and strengthen relationships with essential stakeholders.
  • Manage and mentor the client services team as they look to push the boundaries of creative, advertising, and influencer deliverables and further drive their success.
  • Promote strong internal relationships across the agency.
  • Effectively observe all phases of active campaigns, while managing expectations throughout and troubleshooting to provide solutions and support as needed.
  • Grow profitability of clients by increasing retainers or helping teams be more efficient (spend less time or use a time-saving software).
  • Join with account supervisors weekly and as needed to be sure that they are meeting all client deliverables.
  • Recognize and help sell-through incremental campaign opportunities to clients, that help them achieve the most efficient returns and results on their overall marketing dollars.
  • Aid the teams analyze the weekly and monthly data to determine the most strategic next steps.
  • Meet with ASs weekly to discuss client performance and provide recommendations on new tactics.
  • Produce feedback on monthly reports for key clients.
  • Lead AS , SAE / AE / AAE , CMs to achieve client KPIs.
  • Improve and direct the professional growth of all Account Supervisors and Account Executives with particular emphasis on leadership, strategic thinking and management/training skills.
  • Help pitch New Business as needed and determine SOWs.
  • Aid in RFP process as needed.
  • Identify training needs for account team (new and existing) and develop workshops and training plans.
  • Examine hourly reports weekly and monthly to determine proper utilization.
  • Cooperate with the leaders of other departments (Creative, Influencer, Media, Community Management, New Business) to improve and execute on client deliverables, process, and output.
  • Participate in the continued growth and stability of Socialfly, by being empowered to make decisions that are best for the company both today and tomorrow.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in an agency setting.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible and able to keep up with a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • A sound foundation in strategic and critical thinking, with an eye for finding ways to innovate and collaborate with teams to improve outputs.
  • Self-motivation and organization are key given coordination with multiple internal and external teams.
  • Confidence and composure and polished presentation skills to effectively attend and lead meetings in-person with key clients on a daily basis
  • Ability to manage timelines, projects and personnel within a direct report team and across cross-functional teams.
