Online Shopping Landscape in the Middle East 2015 | MasterCard

In a way to measure online shopping behavior in the Middle East, especially in KSA, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Lebanon, results show the following:

  • 42% of internet users surveyed use the internet for shopping, 87% of them are satisfied with their online shopping experience, and more than half of them prefer to buy from local websites.
  • 85% of internet shoppers access the internet from their mobiles.
  • 46% are encouraged to shop on another mobile because of convenience.
  • The top three shopping categories are personal education, app stores, and airlines.
