51% of Mobile Purchases in US Have Made Through Mobile Apps in 2016 | Fluent

42% of online shoppers in the US have made purchases via smartphones in 2016. More than half of these smartphone purchases (51%) have made through mobile apps especially on Android devices (47% vs. 40% for iOS devices).

Men were more likely than women to make their smartphone purchases on mobile apps (56% vs. 46%). Younger shoppers also were more likely than elder ones to do so on mobile apps.
